Frequently asked questions.

1. Is your print only available in silk finish?

No, we offer silk, satin, gloss and uncoated in most weights of paper stock. However, silk is by far the most popular finish as it give a pleasantly 'solid' feel to your job.

2. How do I ask for other finishes?

That's easy, just let us know in the 'Notes' section at checkout, or give us a call on 01224 211234.

3. Does it cost more?

Not on most types of print, e.g. flat flyers, cards etc.

4. Do you offer free delivery on all your print?

Yes we do. The only exception to this is multi-point delivery where there is a small charges for multiple delivery addresses.

5. If my print job arrives and I'm not happy with it?

Let us know immediately. We guarantee our work, and offer direct replacement for any damaged or poorly finished printwork.

6. Do I need to have print ready files?

No! We offer free advice to help you get your work print ready, and we also offer a paid service to design your work to your concept.

7. Can I visit your business?

Yes, we're at 50 Cotton Street, Aberdeen. We're quite happy with customers popping in by, but please note, we may be tied up in something so you may need to wait.

8. How long does the process take?

When can I expect to see my print?
If it's a straight print job, it's usually in your hands in 3-4 working days (that's Monday to Friday). Some jobs do take longer due to special finishes etc, but we'll let you know if that's the case.

9. What file formats do you accept?

We prefer high-resolution PDFs with fonts embedded. However, we can also work with JPEGs, PNGs, and TIFFs. If you are sending over Word or Publisher files, we recommend converting them to PDF first to ensure your layout doesn't shift!

10. What is 'Bleed' and do I need it?

Bleed is the extra area around the edge of your design that allows us to trim your print perfectly without white borders showing. We usually look for a 3mm bleed on all sides. If you’re unsure how to add this, just give us a shout!

11. Will the colors on my screen look the same when printed?

Screens use RGB (light), while printers use CMYK (ink). There can be slight variations, but we do our best to match your vision. If color accuracy is critical, let us know and we can discuss a physical proof.

12. Do you have a minimum order quantity?

We cater to everyone! Whether you need 50 business cards for a startup or 10,000 flyers for an event, we can handle it. No job is too small for our digital presses.

13. Can you do custom sizes or shapes?

Absolutely. While our website lists standard A-sizes, we have the equipment to trim and die-cut your print to bespoke dimensions. If you have a specific shape in mind, contact us for a custom quote.

14. Can I collect my order instead of waiting for delivery?

Yes! If you’re in a hurry, you can choose to collect directly from our Cotton Street office as soon as the job is off the press. We’ll send you a notification when it’s ready for pick-up.

15. Do you offer Eco-friendly or recycled paper options?

We do. We are committed to sustainability and offer a range of recycled and FSC-certified paper stocks. Just ask us about our Green options when placing your order.
